TestimonialEven with the departure of some non-bank lenders from the market, there is still a mountain of information to be sifted by mortgage brokers in search of the right loan for each client. Efficient operators know that it is impossible to know the details of all the loan products and lender policies, even in the "conforming" sector, let alone the dizzying array of policies and procedures of those lenders targeting the higher-risk segment. I have been in the industry for a long time, but quite a while ago I decided that I could no longer hope to keep totally abreast of all product and policy knowledge in both forms of lending. So, whenever I find that a client is credit-impaired I immediately contact Scott Vine at Lending Solutions. After getting his reaction to a scenario, I discuss matters with my client. If they agree, I pass on their details for Scott to contact them and look after their loan from that point on. Like a GP referring to a specialist, if you like. So far he has not failed to deliver on any loan he has said he could do, including some very messy ones indeed. I never consider commission first, but rather what is best for the client.
